  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food Advocate for More Food Options
Given the impact of pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers on both the natural world and our food systems, what do you think about the use of these products in agriculture?

We should encourage the use of these products. I think these come at very low cost, which lures the farmers in buying them. They'll be in the false hope that the productivity will be increased but there will be adverse side effects in the future.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Waste Use a Reusable Water Bottle
While water bottles serve an important role in places for health and safety, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. Can you identify the barriers in making this a new habit? How can you set yourself up for success in making this a permanent change?

Instead of buying water bottles every time we need it, we can buy a single 1 liter bottle of good quality. This can be used for at least 3-4 years and many people take this up, the amount of plastic bottles used can be drastically reduced. Governments can also setup small clean water filters at multiple points in the city, so that citizens need not buy a bottle. They can directly drink from the water tap.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Choose Organic Ingredients
Can organic farming feed the world? Which side of the argument do you fall on? Why?

Yes, organic farming can feed this world. The natural non-usable products like skins and tops of vegetables and fruits, animal droppings, and so on are enough to make the soil fertile and aid the organic farming.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Simplicity Needs Vs. Wants
How is creativity necessary for practicing simplicity?

Having money and an access to the internet can make us want to buy every other that is trending on these social media sites. This doesn't require any innovation. But being a simple person in the current times can be a creative task. We should be able to efficiently make use of whatever is available within our reach and in less cost, as to lead a frugal lifestyle.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Simplicity Meditate
What would you like to invest more time in reflecting on?

I would sit down, take deep breaths, and reflect upon on nothing. A 20-minute activity of this kind boosts up my entire day.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Zero-Waste Cooking
In North America, up to 65% of food waste happens at the consumer level. Chef Steven Satterfield advocates for utilizing every part of a vegetable. How can you incorporate using an entire vegetable, including the skins, tops, and stalks during your next meal prep?

I read in an article that natural things like the vegetable skins, tops, and so on could be used as an effective fertilizers for the crops/plants. May be we could try implementing that.
