Jane Harris 10/11/2018 11:42 AMI feel really good about how the eco challenge is going this year. There are a few big changes I've been wanting to implement after last years eco-challenge and really feel like I'm making good changes in my personal life. Last year, I cut out to-go cups, single use plastics, started using glass containers for lunch, had an energy audit and cut my usage by 35%. This year, I want to take that a step further by switching from plastic shaving razors to something more sustainable, riding my bike to work for 3/5 days of my commute, and finding ways to divert more trash from landfills. Things like donating shoes, recycling jeans (Madewell takes them and turns them into insulation!), and buying in bulk using glass containers more frequently is where I'm at. Any other suggestions are welcome!
