  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water 5-Minute Showers
Five minute showers are an impressive step toward reducing your water footprint. What is the next step you can take?

The next step in saving water is for me to reduce the amount of water that I use when I brush my teeth. I have a bad habit of leaving the water on when I brush my teeth and it is unnecessary.

      Hi Charlie!
Dr Caplow is trying to get in touch with you to send you the email about winning the challenge. What would be a good email? Thanks!

    Nature Explore My Area
How can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place?

When you only spend time indoors you aren’t as aware of what all is around you. By exploring the areas around you it helps you to discover new things in your area.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Water Say No to Plastic Straws
What single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?

I use a lot of straws when I eat out, I can replace plastic straws with either a reusable metal or plastic straw. I can also just refuse straws and drink straight from the cup instead, which is an easier alternative.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature Spend Time Outside
Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

When I am stressed I spend time outside and it helps me to relax. I think that as people spend more and more time outside that nature will be forgotten and replaced by technology.
