REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Spend Time OutsideRachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?
Kim Kapaun 10/22/2018 6:07 AMYes, I find that I am more relaxed and less stressed the more time I spend outside. Nature is calming! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth More Fruits and VeggiesWhat do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than any other places, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How can we start shifting from a meat-focused food culture to a more plant-based one?
Kim Kapaun 10/22/2018 6:05 AMI think Americans eat more meat because of the accessibility and financial ability to obtain it. Also, other countries beliefs don't allow them to eat meat so they are strickly vegetarian. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Exercise DailyHow can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?
