Help Others
I will offer to help 2 person(s) who are in need each day.
Waste
Skip the Straw
Plastic bags and small plastic pieces like straws are most likely to get swept into our waterways. I will keep 1 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill and ocean each day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.
Nature
Practice Gratitude for Earth
I will spend 5 minute(s) each day outside, practicing gratitude (prayer, meditation, journaling, etc.) for Earth and the nature surrounding me.
Simplicity
Limit Social Media
I will limit my social media use to once each day reducing my daily use by 5 minute(s)
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Anushree Majumdar 10/06/2018 7:18 PMI enjoy taking around five minutes everyday thinking about how I am grateful of the Earth. It allows me to reduce my stress a lot, and it allows me to get my mind off of whatever is bothering me at the moment. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicity Limit Social MediaSocial media is a great way to keep us connected with loved ones, makes us laugh, and helps us to learn new things. It can also take more time than we realize or intend to give. After doing this action for a few days now, how do you feel? What do you notice?
Anushree Majumdar 10/05/2018 4:54 PMOne thing I have definitely noticed is that I spend much more time with my family and with my books. I am able to commit more times to things I love and appreciate because I am not focused on checking my social media as often. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Help OthersIn your opinion, how do social inequalities diminish a strong sense of community?
Anushree Majumdar 10/05/2018 4:53 PMSocial inequalities cause people to discriminate against other people who they believe to be "lower" than them. By treating everyone as equal, there will be a smaller chance of discrimination, and we will be able to develop as a strong community that thrives.
