REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use a Reusable Water BottleWhile water bottles serve an important role in places for health and safety, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. Can you identify the barriers in making this a new habit? How can you set yourself up for success in making this a permanent change?
Sandy Parker 10/10/2018 5:15 PMI've been given gifts of reusable water bottles (or big cups with lids). I like using them and find some of them keep my drink nice and cold throughout the day. The best way to make it a habit (I think) is through repetition. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Weekly Meal PlanningAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?
Sandy Parker 10/09/2018 3:23 PMThrowing away so much food does not surprise me, but it is disappointing. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Buy From a Farmers MarketWhat is one food choice that you make, or could make, that would do more good and less harm?

REFLECTION QUESTIONWaste Use Reusable BagsWhat do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reuseable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to establish this a successful habit?
Sandy Parker 10/04/2018 11:24 AMI put things in my purse...which is huge. I also ask if they have paper bags (vs. plastic). My habit around bringing bags to stores, is to carry lots (like 10) in my car. It's become habbit to take a couple bags when I go in the store. I'm pretty consistent with this. Also, I enjoy getting bags from various places or when they give them out at events...it just keeps my supply strong.
Lastly, I've been know to put bags in my kid's car and my husband's car....attempting to get the family to use reusable bags! -
