Brandon's actions
Energy
Online Energy Audit
I will complete an online energy audit of my home, office, or dorm room and identify my next steps for saving energy.
Nature
Forage for My Food
I will use the 'Learn More' resources below to find where I can forage for my own food locally.
Waste
Personal Waste Audit
I will collect all of my unrecyclable, non-compostable trash to raise my awareness of how much I send to the landfill.
Energy
Power Down the Computer
I will power down my computer and monitor when not using it for more than 2 hours, saving up to (1.1) lbs of CO2 each day that I do this.
Transportation
Work from Home
I will work from home 1 day(s) to avoid my commute's carbon output.
Health
Go get a check up
I will make an appointment for my annual physical.
Health
Healthy Sleep
Effectively working for sustainability requires self care! I will commit to getting 30 more minute(s) of sleep each night to achieve at least 7 hours per night.
Health
Exercise Daily
Exercise is a great stress blaster! I will exercise for 30 minute(s) each day.
Health
Happiness
I will write down three things every day that I am grateful for, or send one email every day thanking or praising someone.

Brandon Prano 10/12/2018 5:49 AMDay 10: Challenge's are becoming less of a challenge and more of a normal thing in my daily routine. I was thinking about on day 14, turning in all of the current challenges and trying out a new set of them. What do you guys think, should I trade my current challenges in and go for new ones on day 14? -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Healthy SleepConsider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?
Brandon Prano 10/10/2018 6:42 AMSetting a bed time at first I thought would be a stretch but so far its been working very well. I feel much better at work and I am not getting the 1:00-2:00 PM "nap time" feelings. -
Brandon Prano 10/09/2018 5:42 AMDay 7: Reflecting on the 3 day weekend it was interesting to see that I was incorporating things from the EcoChallenge much easier into my daily life. At the beginning I was set reminders on my phone to make sure I was completing each task daily but this weekend I found myself not having to use the reminders as often. -
Brandon Prano 10/05/2018 6:26 AMDay 3: I sent an email to a friend of mine that I am grateful to have them in my life. Got a response within minutes that they were having a bad day and just by reading the email it put them in a better mood. A small gesture can go a long way.-
Scott Beckerman 10/09/2018 5:29 AMThis is a great reminder that we never know how much of a positive impact we can have until we take just a second to say what we are thinking!
