JaKarra Sanders 10/17/2018 3:31 PMI'm trying to switch out afternoon coffee with tea to see if it helps with my energy levels and I'm not sure how I feel about this yet to be honest. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Choose Organic IngredientsCan organic farming feed the world? Which side of the argument do you fall on? Why?
JaKarra Sanders 10/17/2018 3:29 PMI honestly don't know about organic farming versus non organic farming to form an educated opinion. I know that I prefer local resources however I'm not sure that organic farming would be useful in areas where it is difficult to impossible to cultivate food. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Zero-Waste CookingIn North America, up to 65% of food waste happens at the consumer level. Chef Steven Satterfield advocates for utilizing every part of a vegetable. How can you incorporate using an entire vegetable, including the skins, tops, and stalks during your next meal prep?
JaKarra Sanders 10/17/2018 12:10 PMWell I will be honest there are some parts of the vegetable or fruits that just aren't edible but that is what decomp containers are for. I have a friend who has chickens so it all gets thrown out as food for them, so even if I am not eating it, something is. That to me prevents waste. -
