Use of chemicals in your lawn impacts the stormwater that is collected and distributed to the Kalamazoo River, effecting our health and that of the species that reside there. Also, something as simple as leaving your hose in your pool as you fill it or using a sprayer that doesn't prevent backwater causes cross contamination and allows chemicals to get into our drinking water.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Use a Reusable Mug
Maybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reuseable one but it's just hard to make the switch. Think about what stands in your way of making this a habit. By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?

It makes me fee proud to know I'm not a contributor to the problem when I use a reusable mug.
