REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Plant an Herb GardenConsider the ways you can garden: a plot of land? a patio container? hanging basket? windowsill gardens? What would work best for your living situation and lifestyle?
izabela szeremeta 9/19/2018 2:12 PMFor my living situation, a plot of land would be the best way to garden. During winter a windowsill garden would be great for herbs! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsWhat do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than in other places, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?
izabela szeremeta 9/19/2018 2:08 PMNorth America has an abundance of meat products and the majority of the population can afford it, meat products can be expensive in other countries so people consume less. The best way to shift from a meat-focused culture is to increase prices and demand will go down.-
Marianne Greco 9/19/2018 2:50 PMSo true, Izabela. Meat prices are kept artificially low by many bad gov't policies and business practices. Removing subsidies and incentive for meat producers and replacing them with subsidies to consumers organic foods, plant proteins, and education... and better access to them as well.
