    Simplicity Meditate

My relationships with other people and how I can foster positivity with others.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

I live in an apartment, so the drain system is pretty complicated. It usually gathers in a large puddle right outside our backyard fence areas. I'd like to create a rain barrel system to gather it there instead.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation Improve a Bus Stop
How can you advocate for transportation systems which minimize environmental impact while also meeting human needs?

Only buy things I need and/or know that I will use. Less trinkets, more functionality.

Help advocate for better recycling receptacles in downtown Milwaukie.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature Spend Time Outside
Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

When I reach the viewpoint of a mountaintop after hiking there, my breath is literally taken away. I feel connected to the earth and want to see more of it. When we box ourselves in 4 walls, we don't get to experience that feeling. It leads to a feeling of limitedness, instead of limitlessness.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health Happiness
How does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?

I'm planning to take a walk during lunch instead of sitting at my desk, and posting 3 things I'm thankful for today. When I get home, I'm going to go through one box in my bedroom to declutter.
