Using reusable bags and saving water is becoming a good habit!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

I can be aware of the amount of water used in other areas such as washing dishes and making sure the clothes washer is full.

    Waste Skip the Straw
How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?

There are restaurants that give straws automatically making it difficult for people to refuse them.

Straws bother me so much now after I have seen so many on the ground and know they get into the water and don't break down. I am now in the habit of saying "No straw please" when I order my water or other drink.  It's great! I tend to say it loud so others hear me too.  Try it you like it.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water Collect Rain Water
Trace the water that flows down the drain from your house to the largest body of water nearby. What is the route it takes?

I used the water from the dehumidifier to water my plants.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Use Reusable Bags
What do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reuseable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to establish this a successful habit?

I always carry a bag in my purse. I often carry out items without a bag.
