Kristin Shorey 10/17/2018 9:10 AMThank you for the informative lunch time event about how to weatherize my house. I look forward to taking a workshop with the Community Energy Project. What a fantastic group! -
Reflection QuestionWaste Use Reusable BagsWhat do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reuseable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to establish this a successful habit?
Kristin Shorey 9/27/2018 8:17 AMI just read an article that Trader Joes's has sets of beeswax cotton wraps! I have been using beeswax wraps for 6 months and love them. They are great for wrapping cheese, sandwiches, fruit, the tops of bowls with leftovers. Highly recommend this plastic wrap alternative! -

Reflection QuestionFood Reduce Animal ProductsWhat do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than in other places, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?
Kristin Shorey 9/26/2018 10:42 AMMy 12 year old has embraced the world of vegetarianism which makes this a super fun challenge as we are having a great time exploring cook books together,-
Lacy Cagle (Ecochallenge.org Staff) 9/26/2018 1:34 PMThat's great!

Reflection QuestionEnergy Install Alternative EnergyHow is your region being affected by climate change? How will it be affected in the future?
Kristin Shorey 9/26/2018 10:39 AMThe summers are longer and drier... time to be wise about water usage and plant sturdy, drought tolerant and fire resistant vegetation.
