REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Do Nature ActivitiesWhat did you observe while spending time outside -- through sight, sound, smell and touch?
Hoa VU 10/12/2018 8:12 AMLife is beautiful. We should all take time to enjoy outdoor life. Last night, just by watching the crescent moon, we were all happier and felt at peace. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNature Practice Gratitude for EarthKathleen Dean Moore says that a sense of gratitude leads to a sense of moral obligation. Do you agree? How do we cultivate a sense of gratitude as individuals, and as a society?
Hoa VU 10/12/2018 8:10 AMyes, I do agree. Gratitude leads to appreciation of people/things around you. Once you appreciate them, I will try to do better to deserve them. We need to teach our kids to show their gratitude even for the smallest things instead of taking it for granted.
Maybe this should be part of their daily education at school -
Hoa VU 10/12/2018 8:07 AMIt was great. It helps me be aware of the environment and how I can make a difference -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsWhat do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than in other places, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?
Hoa VU 10/12/2018 8:05 AMSince we live in America, it is hard to NOT eat meat since it is available at a very low price. In order to shift away from meat-focused food culture, we will need to promote other non-meat products and how to prepare a non-meat meals-
Sara Mihm 10/14/2018 10:08 AMVisit any Multnomah County Office of Sustainability event this EcoChallenge (throughout October) and any other time during the year, and we're always providing climate-friendly food options that are non-meat! :-)
