  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Transportation
The US spends roughly 20% of its federal budget on defense. In contrast, 2% goes to education, 20% goes to social security and 3% goes to transportation infrastructure. Do these numbers surprise you at all? Why or why not?

This doesn't surprise me. I wish more went towards the students; however. This is an important time in a child's life to gain the knowledge that they need and this is where they are shaped as individuals. I think more attention should be paid to schools than it is, especially with all the problems we are facing in this country.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health
How can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?

Something I like to do from time to time is going on a walk with my friends and family and I also like to go outside. It feels refreshing when I can get outside for a walk during lunch
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food
An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?

I would rather spend this money on fun activies, such as movies, or family time
