  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Reduce Animal Products
What do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than in other places, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?

North Americans really do love meat. Our version of Chinese food is mostly meat dishes. Most of our fast food joints are burger places. And big breakfasts at restaurants often come with bacon AND sausage. I don't really know why this is, but not many people challenge it. I'm not convinced that a 100% Vegan diet is necessary for individuals to combat climate change, but I do agree that it needs to be cut significantly. I think a single serving a few days a week is sufficient.

Lawn dug out, next is ordering compost & more loam, laying down seeds to root thru Winter so that Spring rains won't wash away the soil

Yay, my Air Fryer - no to little oil, much less power used, much faster to cook, good when I'm late planning a meal
