I fell behind a little bit last week, traveling can create obstacles! I'm recommitted and excited about finishing strong. #goseattle

Let's make the earth a better place!

Yesterday the team went to the Recology MRF! It was my 5-6th time at the facility, but I still learned SO much new information. For example, since our recycling contamination is a determining factor on whether commodities get sold or not, Seattle is now encouraging people to completely wash out their food-tainted plastics with the goal of "if it cannot mold then it is ok!" That means no more peanut butter residue!!

I was really excited about the toilet tank bank bags - I ordered 3 from Amazon for only $10! But when I went to install it in mine, I found that there wasn't enough room in my toilet tank?? Where the bag was supposed to sit was too close to the valve and it caused my toiled to actually continuously run. Luckily I gifted them to a couple friends, so the water is still being saved!

Simplicity Go for a Daily Walk
Fresh air and movement are good for our entire being and can help us think more clearly and creatively. How does taking a walk each day affect yourself and/or your work?

    Chris Watkins 10/11/2018 1:12 PM
Having a dog always helps me get my walk in! And it's a good thing because it gets me out from in front of the screen, gets my blood flowing and provides a mental breather from work. When I'm done, I always feel better and am able to bring some fresh focus to the task at hand. In fact, I think I'll take a walk right now...see you later

Super excited to visit a MRF with the Seattle team next week! That's one of the waste goals and it will definitely be a memorable learning experience. I LOVE MRFS!

When I want to buy something, I think about if this is needed to keep me alive, and if not, I probably don't need it.

    Health Exercise Daily
How can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?

    Aaron Wong 10/10/2018 2:12 PM
I starting walking the trail near town, which is nicely paved and follows a small stream. Clean air, sounds of nature helps calm my spirit after a long day.
