BACK TO TEAM PAGE

Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.

To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

These few days of participating have been a great opportunity to be much more mindful of turning off lights when not in use (and turning LEDs on and off is not wasteful as it is with fluorescents).  I am also more mindful of what's in my closet and I hope will be in the future - do I need it; does it fill my soul? who will have to deal with it when I die?

I can ask myself "do I really need this? Does it feed my soul?  What will happen to it when I die?"

I had a really busy weekend and didn't think about updating the ecochallenges. I am glad that I was able to go back and mark the daily goals that I completed.

    Waste Use a Reusable Mug
Maybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reuseable one but it's just hard to make the switch. Think about what stands in your way of making this a habit. By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?

I like being able to impact the world with simple little actions.

Waste Use a Reusable Water Bottle
While water bottles serve an important role in places for health and safety, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. Can you identify the barriers in making this a new habit? How can you set yourself up for success in making this a permanent change?

I have several water bottles at home that are reusable. I continue to fill them each day.

By reviewing our storage areas I can stay on top of curating 'things' to make sure we aren't storing things we won't use.

Was able to repurpose old canvases by giving them to friends who will paint over them! Cleaned out some space and helped a good cause- art!
