    Food Weekly Meal Planning
    An average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?

    $1,500 could be used on a vacation or home updates, or to pay additional monies towards a mortgage or car payment.

    Your utility company is able to tell you your average energy usage. Ask them how your energy usage compares to others in your zipcode, and in your state. What other steps can you take each day to reduce your electricity usage?

    We purchased a Nest Thermostat. The auto set is on Eco so the thermostat make the best choice for reducing electricity usage. Our goal is to be in the top 25 % of our zip code each month.

    My coworker and I carried all of our waste for a day. Including recyclables. It was a challenge because we are in the  habit of just tossing. We had to do some dumpster diving to make sure we were fully committed to this challenge!

    On Monday night I continued by study of Ecclesiastes and reflected on how "the best a man can do is to be happy in his work".
    On Tuesday night I continued my study of Ecclesiastes and reflected on how meaningless the accumulation of wealth is.

    I volunteered last night with the Octoberfest Grenideers for 3 hours Monday night in taking down the northside fest grounds at the conclusion of the event.
    Last night My wife and I volunteered to support the City of La Crosse at an event for the visiting dignitaries from Germany.
