Today I went on a walk without my phone and it was great to have some time offline.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Find Local Recycling Depots
Our ability to recycle certain things ebbs and flows based upon many factors. Luckily there are places that accept uncommon things to recycle or dispose of in a less harmful way. What did you find when looking for places to recycle items that can't be recycled in your curbside bin?

Most recycling facilities are not too far from where we live. One of the recycling facilities that I found has a 5 star rating and is only about 20 minutes from where I live. Collecting all of my recyclable items and going there every month does not seem like too much of a hassle.

Today, instead of making breakfast with zero waste products, I made lunch.

I went to whole foods again and got their natural peanut butter but I took my own container for it because they only provide plastic containers.

Its not that hard to make zero waste meals. I found a lot of produce at Whole Foods that comes without any packaging or comes in paper bags.

I learned that zero waste means that you can use recyclable products, which means that you can  use products that come in paper bags or recyclable plastic.
