Waste
Find Local Recycling Depots
I will spend at least 10 minutes finding out where to recycle the recyclable items that I can't put in my curbside bin.
Health
Happiness
I will write down three things every day that I am grateful for, or send one email every day thanking or praising someone.
Food
Reduce Animal Products
I will enjoy 1 meatless meal(s) and/or 1 vegan meal(s) each day this week.
Health
Exercise Daily
Exercise is a great stress blaster! I will exercise for 60 minute(s) each day.
Waste
Use a Reusable Water Bottle
I will keep 1 disposable plastic bottle(s) from entering the waste stream by using a reusable water bottle.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth HappinessHow does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?
Pat Eisenberg 10/21/2018 7:37 AMWe take of those things we are grateful for and put “value” on. I am truly grateful for this beautiful planet we live in. Oregon has some wonderful state parks I am grateful for and want to preserve. I am grateful to have a partner, husband to share outdoor experiences with. -
Pat Eisenberg 10/21/2018 7:33 AMEven while traveling we can still recycle and be conscious about conserving. Our inn has a large tub with jets. It looks tempting to soak in but zi am still taking showers and keeping them short just like I do at hime -
Pat Eisenberg 10/21/2018 7:25 AMWe are travellung and I have had a tough time having service to post tobthe evochsllenge. It is easy to get the exercise component in with all the hiking and walking we did today. -
Pat Eisenberg 10/15/2018 7:29 PMI plan on keeping a reusable water bottle in my car for the times we are traveling. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Reduce Animal ProductsWhat do you think contributes to people in North America eating more meat than in other places, and what does this say about North American values and ways of living? How do we start shifting a meat-focused food culture?
Pat Eisenberg 10/15/2018 7:27 PMI had a meatless day. I actually could give up beef. In terms of impact on thee environment, cattle have the biggest effect. -
Pat Eisenberg 10/14/2018 7:46 PMAt our church today we used only reusable plates and cutlery. My partner took the coffe grounds home to put in her compost. I reused the containers from the store to bring left overs home. -
Pat Eisenberg 10/14/2018 7:42 PMHad the opportunity to meet with others who are working on creating a more energy conserving and recycling culture in their faith communities.-
Kay Killian 10/22/2018 7:21 AMThat was so inspiring, to see what other communities were doing to go green!

Pat Eisenberg 10/12/2018 9:19 AMSo far, so good. Still getting the hang of the record keeping part! -
Pat Eisenberg 10/10/2018 3:18 PMI just figured out how to use this dashboard so am grateful for that. I hope to work with others on my team MFCC to encourage one another to meet our individual and collective goals. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth Exercise DailyHow can you incorporate other personal values (like quality time with friends or spending time in nature) into your exercise routine?
Pat Eisenberg 10/10/2018 3:16 PMI can chose to walk outdoors and vary my routes and use the indoor gym less frequently.-
Pat Eisenberg 10/15/2018 7:24 PMThat would be great. -
Kay Killian 10/15/2018 1:53 PM
Walking together was great! I am thinking we could leverage this as both a prayer walk, fellowship walk or get together time.
