Kristine's actions
Waste
Use a Reusable Water Bottle
I will keep 1 disposable plastic bottle(s) from entering the waste stream by using a reusable water bottle.
Food
Weekly Meal Planning
I will reduce food waste and save money by planning a weekly menu, only buying the ingredients I need.
Waste
Skip the Straw
Plastic bags and small plastic pieces like straws are most likely to get swept into our waterways. I will keep 1 plastic straw(s) out of the landfill and ocean each day by refusing straws or using my own glass/metal straw.
Waste
Use a Reusable Mug
I will avoid sending 1 disposable cup(s) to the landfill each day by using a reusable mug.
Health
Happiness
I will write down three things every day that I am grateful for, or send one email every day thanking or praising someone.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Kristine Keusch 10/24/2018 4:49 AMEnjoyed participating in this challenge! Made me stop and think each day about how small changes can make a big difference! -
Kristine Keusch 10/15/2018 4:30 AMDid a great job meal planning for Mon-Thurs this past week, not so great on the weekend. For this week, I'm trying Sun-Sat and sticking to it! -
Kristine Keusch 10/10/2018 5:47 AMAlthough I didn't "write down" my daily reflections, I did "think" them while walking the morning before work. -
Kristine Keusch 10/03/2018 4:58 AMWent out to dinner last night and declined using a straw - plus got my husband to decline as well!-
Kristin Bloser 10/03/2018 8:03 AMThis is one of the actions I added to my EcoChallenge too. You can buy stainless reusable straws (they have thin brushes you can buy to clean them). I'm going to try to remember to carry a reusable straw with me in my purse.
