Carolina Martins 10/21/2018 9:28 PMI created a Club at Rock Creek to raise awareness about single-use plastic and the negative impacts for the environment.
The Club #BreakFreeFromPlastic is a student initiative and everyone is welcome to join us and make a difference.
We aim to build a coalition to spread the word and to educate others.
The issues about plastic in the Oceans are real and we have to stop/reduce single-use plastic.
I am very excited to help PCC community become more sustainable through this initiative.

Carolina Martins 10/09/2018 9:31 PMI had always used hot water in my washer. Since the temperature of the water was in the "hot mode" since I got the machine (it came automatically setted up from the manufacturer with the hot water as the 1st option) , I had never thought about switching it to cold water. Finally, I changed it and I realized that I did not need hot water to do my laundry at all. Small changes that make a difference and can save lots of energy!-
Donna Bezio 10/10/2018 7:47 PMGreat job! Oprah had this tip many years ago and I've always washed everything on cold ever since! Less energy and I think it is better for the clothes too. :)
