Waste Use a Reusable Water Bottle

I leave my sipper here at work this way I never have to use a bottle when I am here. The only time I use a bottle water is on a trip if I forget my sipper.

Teaching the grandkids how to not waste and recycle. That puts pressure on all of us to be mindful of what we are throwing away.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Reduce Single-Use Disposables
Bringing your own bags and containers to the grocery store, and even to restaurants for leftovers, are a couple of ways to reduce your waste. What single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?

I regularly bring my lunch bring my food in a container rather than a ziplock bag. I also reuse gallon plastic bags for marinating meat before throwing them out.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Use a Reusable Mug
Maybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reuseable one but it's just hard to make the switch. Think about what stands in your way of making this a habit. By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?

I make myself use the shopping bags all the time. If I forget them in the car, I will go out to the car and get them, no excuses!
