Thank you for doing this. I like to consider myself eco-conscious, but the extra reminders are always good.

I have really enjoyed this year's Ecochallenge!  I have especially enjoyed challenging myself in recycling and composting as much as possible at home, and sharing as many books and materials as possible with my neighborhood!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste
How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?

I reduce by using a re-fillable water bottle, I reuse plastic lunchmeat containers for leftovers, I refuse straws when I eat out, I repurpose the pots my flowers come in as gifts for others.

This has been a wonderful reminder of the power of establishing healthy habits, for our bodies and also for the planet.

Avoiding refined sugar always provides positive ripple effects. There are plenty of natural sources of sweetness!

Grateful for the discipline to prepare salad for the week! An small investment of time pays off in multiple ways.

Last day! We'll see how many of these challenges become more permanent long term.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

How does environmental quality influence your sense of community?

My community members are involved with plants in some way, so a healthy environment is paramount to our work. Caring for the plants and the environment is what brings my community closer.
