Tonight I have a class where I will do a complicated bus/MAX ride to get there.  I'm so into this public transportation thing!  I love taking advantage of living in a city with this kind of resource.

I have been in San Diego.  Does air travel count as public transportation?

Brought my reusable water bottle this evening.  One time use plastic bottles are such a waste!

Took the bus to Rotary today and will take it out tonight to go to the Armory Theater.  I love that I don't have to look for parking.  I hope I continue to ride TriMet even when the weather turns ugly.  ;)

I like to walk and could actually walk to meetings downtown if I were to plan for the time and wear comfortable shoes.  I think I'll do it and see how long it takes me.

Saving water by flushing every 2nd or 3rd use.  And then I use the captured water to refill the tank.  Easy to do when it's just me at the house.  When I have company, not so much.  I also have been turning the shower off when I soap up or shave my legs so that the water doesn't just keep running down the drain.  Pretty simple and easy changes to make.  Cheers!

Took the bus and transferred to the street car to get where I was going this morning.  It's a nice day and it was nice to be outside.  It's becoming more and more of a habit.  Not quite ready to sell my car yet, but am really getting the hang of riding TriMet.

Hi everyone.  Love your comments.  Mike, I'm inspired by your reduction of screen time.  Lately I've been watching too much news and it's not good for my mood.  ;)   I reloaded my HOP pass for the bus and am taking it a lot these days.  Have a class out by the airport and I take the bus to the MAX station and sit on MAX out there and watch all the rush-hour traffic sitting on the freeway as we speed on by.  Ahhh!

What would a sustainable water future in your region look like? What needs to change?

We all need to be more respectful of our water and not act like it's a never-ending resource.  We waste an incredible amount of water every day as individuals, and even more as industry.  Turn off the drinking fountains downtown!!  Or at least put handles on them so we can turn them on for a drink but not run them constantly.  Our state is in a drought but it's hard for us to realize it because we think of how much it rains here.  Whenever I turn on the water I remind myself of people who have to walk for miles to get water to use every day.
