Double-sided printing is already encouraged (but sometimes we forget to select it on the computer before pressing print).  A larger challenge for us will be to reduce the amount of pricing our department produces.

I ride my bike to work every day.

Being more mindful about how much water is used in washing dishes, brushing teeth, etc. could greatly reduce my water footprint.

I use ceramic mugs and tumblers for coffee/iced coffee, and try to make sure to ask for no straw when I order drinks. I just got some mesh vegetable bags, and we try to pack lunches in reusable containers rather than plastic snack/sandwich bags.

I have been trying to stick to a routine. Tracking my sleep with my Fitbit is quite useful as well.

Keeps your mindset positive, and makes others around you feel appreciated!

If I can, I will carry the items out in my hands. I try to keep reusable bags in my car. If I do end up taking a disposable one, I reuse it again at home or collect and recycle all of my disposable bags at the local grocery store drop off.

We are considering installing solar panels for the house. We've also replaced a great deal of our front yard (grass) with gardens as this was the sunniest part of the yard.  It made more sense to use the sun to grow food instead of grass.
  • October 15 at 9:04 AM
I put a spoon into a coffee mug in the lunch room at work. In front of the spoon in a mug I made a little free-standing sign that said, "Stir. Rinse. Replace. Introducing: the Reusable Stir Spoon. No Licking the Spoon."

Other than I forgot to record my successes and missed a week of point collection I've been doing ok.
