  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Simplicity Limit Social Media
Social media is a great way to keep us connected with loved ones, makes us laugh, and helps us to learn new things. It can also take more time than we realize or intend to give. After doing this action for a few days now, how do you feel? What do you notice?

Less stressed. With all of the news that has been going on recently, social media only exacerbates all of the negativity and spurs arguments. Not looking at it as often allows me to do other things without all of the stress.

    Waste Skip the Straw
How could you incorporate other "R's" -- reduce, reuse, refuse, repair, repurpose, etc. -- into your lifestyle?

There are always more ways to incorporate Rs. I have gotten better at reusing old things like water bottles, or repurposing trash to be helpful in other parts of my life.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Use Reusable Bags
What do you do if you find yourself in the situation of needing a bag for items but don't have a reuseable one with you? Carry things out in your hands? In a cart? Accept a disposable one? If you find yourself in this position often, what system could you put in place to try to establish this a successful habit?

Try to keep reusable bags in common places like my car, room, backpack, etc. so i almost always have one.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Choose Two-Sided Printing
Choosing two-sided printing can be an easy adjustment on your computer settings. How can you help others make this same switch? Can it be encouraged company wide?

Setting printers on campus to automatically print double-sided could help more do it.

I might not have done too hot on the exam, but at least I'm saving the planet.

    Waste Use a Reusable Mug
Maybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reuseable one but it's just hard to make the switch. Think about what stands in your way of making this a habit. By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?

It very hard to do this when you go to any place and need to take your drink to go. Its hard to remember your reusable mug. Programs the reward and give you a discount for doing so help me remember to do it. Einsteins does this and give cheaper coffee if you use your own mug
