I am sorry to see our Fall 2018 EcoChallenge end and look forward to the next one.  Thank you all for posting as it helps all of us to learn and train our minds that we can and do accomplish more sustainable habits when we share together.

At least the "spend time in nature" challenge has been pretty easy recently.

Amanda, you will be able to log into the website after the event, just as you did when the EcoChallenge was in progress.

What an eye-opening exercise these past few weeks have been. Being mindful isn't an easy task especially when everything is focused on convenience these days. By keeping track of my habits, its helped me to see where I need to make the most changes in my day-to-day lifestyle.

I missed a day of checking in! Prepping for my wedding this weekend was no joke. It felt like there was an endless list of things to do. Being so busy with the wedding had some positives though! I was too busy to watch TV, and loading the car, setting up the venue, and, of course, dancing all night was great exercise! My wedding was at a nature center, so I got to spend lots of time outside!

CONGRATULATIONS ALISSA!!! That is so exciting. Wishing you many years of peaceful marriage...of course it's not all peaceful because then you won't appreciate the peaceful ones.

Congratulations Alissa! Getting married is a challenge in and of itself - How cool that you held the wedding at a nature center!

Going to the gym with friends and working out together, and/or working out/running out in the woods or around town or at a park with other friends.

I find that MANY folks in NJ are not nearly as enivornmentally conscious as they ought to be. Well, I'm sure that can be said for a lot of folks. But anecdotally, I moved to NJ from SC. Really, there are many similarities between the two states, mainly they are both coastal regions and have many rivers, waterways, etc. Fishing, recreation, and other water activities are a HUGE form of income for the state and its residents, so the folks that live there take EXTRA good care of their immediate environments, which has a larger impact on the region. I would LOVE to see a little bit more of this type of behavior from the folks of NJ. Never have I seen SO many water bottles purchased and thrown away, single-use cups and plastic, and trash around the cities and left on beaches. It makes me a little sad and angry and that folks don't want to preserve the beautiful place in which they live.

Although I can't exercise as vigorously as I'd like, I still managed to hit the gym last night and get in a good workout. Afterwards, I sat on my porch and appreciated the beautiful fall colors that Mother Nature has crafted for us. The fall air is so crisp and refreshing right now.
